Ridge White has recovered enough from his bro- ‘s fibula and stomach issue that he was able to attend our meeting, although he still cannot drive.

Darcus Breneman’s husband, Aaron, is home after a successful ablation procedure and is doing well.

Gary Chrisman is scheduled for a triple heart bypass at Inova Hospital later this month.

HEALTH TIP

January is Thyroid Awareness Month. Our Thy- roids are located at the base of our throats, and we mostly don’t think about them unless there is a problem. One problem can be a goiter. A goiter is an enlarged thyroid and is caused by a lack of iodine in our bodies. You can avoid that by eating eggs, beans, and sweet potatoes – all of which are rich sources of iodine.
